Chungnam Asan FC has revealed its recruitment plans for this summer. Head coach Park Dong-hyuk revealed that the club is looking for resources on the offensive side of the ball to help solve their scoring woes.

Last season, Chungnam Asan had an irreplaceable ace in Yoo Kang-hyun. In the 2022 season, Yoo exploded for 19 goals on his own, tying for first in the league with Gyeongnam FC Tiago. Last year, he was responsible for nearly half of Chungnam Asan’s total goals (39).

Ahead of this season, a void was created when Yoo moved to Daejeon Hana Citizen. The team brought in Duarte, who played for the Ansan Greeners, and veteran striker Rubber Yul from Gangwon FC to fill the void. Park Min-seo and Song Seung-min, who were already on the team, also stepped in to support.

However, the team was hampered by injuries. Since the beginning of the season, Duarte was sidelined with an injury, and recently, other strikers such as Lee Chang-hoon and Park Dae-hoon have been injured. Park Min-seo, who was sent off against Busan I-Park on March 28, missed the home match against Seongnam FC on March 3.

Ahead of the match against Seongnam, Park shared his plans to strengthen the attack in the summer transfer market. “We need to prepare well for the second round (robin). I think we need to get a good flow by signing players in the summer.”

Specifically, Park is looking for players who can help the offense. The options were “change the flow of the offense” and “score goals”. Chungnam Asan has 16 goals in 15 games.

Park said, “We need a player who can change the flow of the offense and a player who can score goals. We lost a lot of possession in our offense this year compared to last year, and that’s a bit disappointing. When we’re on offense, we need to possess the ball and create situations that make it difficult for the opponent. We’re not doing that well,” he said of his current struggles. 스포츠토토

The stumbling block is definitely the ‘ransom’. “We are preparing, but the ransoms are very expensive,” Park said, laughing at the practical problem. It’s not easy to sign a good offensive player with a high price tag in the summer, especially in the middle of the season, when the team hasn’t had a foreign player in two years.

On the other hand, regarding the absence of Yoo Kang-hyun, he said, “Kang-hyun is out, and most of the players are similar. I don’t know if it’s because of that, but the players shouldn’t keep talking about him,” he said, expressing his desire to get over it.
