“Garcia, a product of our youth academy, joins the club after three years at Rayo Vallecano, where he established himself as one of the best defenders in Spanish La Liga. Garcia was the player with the most minutes in the league last season (3,408),” said the official statement.

Then there’s Garcia. After coming through the ranks of Real’s youth system, Garcia was promising but struggled to break into the first team in Castilla, eventually leaving the club in the summer of 2021 for a €2.8 million transfer to join Bayekano.
A promising left-back, Garcia quickly established himself in the starting lineup at Rayo. In the 2020-21 season, he played a key role in their promotion from La Liga 2 (second division) after a promotion playoff. The same was true in La Liga. Garcia was consistently on the pitch with no lingering injuries. He was trusted enough to play over 3,000 minutes in two consecutive seasons.
