The KT Wiz snapped their losing streak.
KT won the eighth game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against SSG Landers 14-4 on Thursday at SSG Landers Field in Incheon. After the game, head coach Lee Kang-cheol praised the players for their determination to end the losing streak.
Starting pitcher Lee Byeol-seong earned his second win of the season (5-2) with five innings of five-hit ball, four strikeouts, four walks, and one run. Lee said, “He threw a few pitches, but he did his job by managing his pitches well. The bullpen did a good job as well,” Lee said.
At the plate, Park Byung-ho went 3-for-5 with a walk-off home run, Alford went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, four RBIs, 메이저놀이터 four runs scored and two walks, and Jang Sung-woo went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and one run scored.
Lee said, “Park Byung-ho’s walk-off home run and Jang Sung-woo’s RBI single early in the game gave us the lead. It’s encouraging to see Alford and the batting order pick up their hitting as well.”
